Misti Coker Arkansan of the Day

I am honored to have represented Arkansas in Washington, DC, at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's Lights of Hope event. Over 10,000 luminaries were lit in honor or memory of those battling cancer or those who have fought. Volunteers were on the hill lobbying for cancer patients.
An awesome experience.

Lauren and I were excited to be a part of the Best Dressed Little Rock hosted by the American Cancer Society. Lauren raised over $12,000 that helps the ACS in Arkansas with transportation and lodging for cancer patients. We are also able to be the mission moment and share Personal Pep Rally with those in attendance.  It was a fun-filled night with lots of friends helping those who have been given a diagnosis that was not their choosing.

Together all models raised over $200,000 for the American Cancer Society.  Lauren and I recruited Paul Guess, DJ Williams, and Cade Bethea.  The three gentlemen and Lauren raised $54,000.

Cattle Barron Ball Arkansas

Lauren and I are humbled to be recognized by the American Cancer Society at the Cattle Barrons Ball. Because of pain, we share the joy with others through our JOY MAIL program. We are in the business of supporting people battling a fight that was not their choice. Because of our mission work, we leave the legacy of Lauren's husband, Marc Stringer, stamped on the hearts of others who walk as he did through cancer.

Nationwide, ACS is working on finishing the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate!
